Leopardskin Jasper, also sometimes referred to as Jaguar Stone, is a beautiful stone of many colors with distinct spotted patterns. It is not actually a type of Jasper. It is a form of pink Rhyolite, a type of igneous rock. Rhyolite is a type of extrusive igneous rock, formed on the surface of the earth by molten magma due to a volcanic eruption.
Leopardskin Jasper is found throughout the world. The most notable deposits are found in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, Mexico, Russia, the United States, and Uruguay.
