Oyster Copper Turquoise is a composite gemstone. It is made by combining Turquoise with real shell from the Spiny Oyster, a unique and beautiful shell. Actually, they are not oysters; they are more closely related to scallops. They are bivalve mollusks who live in warm waters in the Gulf of California on the Baja Peninsula and thrive from North Carolina to Brazil.
The combination of Turquoise and Spiny Oyster makes a beautiful, colorful, and unique patterns in these stone. No two of these stones will look the same.
With side drilling, the hole is not visible on the front of the stone and the pendant can easily be hung on any beading wire.
In most cases, Side Drilled is a little thicker than other pendants.
