Agate is a common rock formation, consisting of chalcedony and quartz as its primary components, consisting of a wide variety of colors. Agates are primarily formed within volcanic and metamorphic rocks.

Crazy lace agate (also known as Mexican Agate) is a banded chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz) that is infused with iron and aluminum and is often brightly colored and complexly patterned. It is a variety of agate that exhibits a lace-like patterns with forms such as eyes, swirls, bands, or zigzags. This produces the whites, creamy browns, blacks, greys, and golds (and occasional pinks or reds) swirled together in this stone.  Found exclusively within the area known as Chihuahua, in Northern Mexico.

Hardness 6.5-7

With side drilling, the hole is not visible on the front of the stone and the pendant can easily be hung on any beading wire.

In most cases, Side Drilled is a little thicker than other pendants.

This is a natural stone that has had no treatment other than cutting, drilling, and polishing.
