Agate is a common rock formation, consisting of chalcedony and quartz as its primary components, consisting of a wide variety of colors. Agates are primarily formed within volcanic and metamorphic rocks.  

A special kind of agate known as “candy agate” is found in the Inner Mongolia and comes in a variety of very wonderful colors. 

This is a natural stone that has had no treatment other than cutting, drilling, and polishing in China.
