Agate is a common rock formation, consisting of chalcedony and quartz as its primary components, consisting of a wide variety of colors. Agates are primarily formed within volcanic and metamorphic rocks.

This agate is named where it is from, the Gobi Desert. This desert is nearly 500,000 miles of northern China and southern Mongolia. They are products of several big volcano eruptions 100-150 million years ago. They have been under extreme weather so they have a condensed quality and a wide range of earth tone colors, including beige, brown, red and green.

This is a natural stone that has had no treatment other than cutting, drilling, and polishing. 

The source of these beads is Brazil and they are cut, drilled and polished in China.
